Troop BIO

Who Are We

The Boy Scouts of America is an international organization that was brought to the US in 1910. Troop 468 was chartered in Arlington Heights in 1975 and has been a catalyst for Scout advancement ever since. Troop 468 has active Scouts from 5th through the 12th grade. The Troop appreciates how involved many of its Scouts are in other non-scouting activities and works with them to advance at their own pace. This has produced a unique sense of comradely among the boys as evidenced by the fact that it is not uncommon to have former Scouts stop by a troop meeting when they are home on college break to say hi and to see what is going on

Mission

The Scouting Experience

If you are in 6th grade, a second year WEBELO scout or just curious about the Scouting experience, give us a call. Troop 468 is an organization that will teach you skills and help you build friendships that may last a lifetime. Only by trying Scouting will you know if it is for you.

We provide a number of opportunities during the year for you to check us out… at any one of our Troop meetings by yourself or with your den, or on one of our special WEBELO outings.  If that doesn’t work, call any one of our leaders who will “do their best” to work out another opportunity.

If you decide to join our Troop, we will participate in your Pack’s WEBELO cross-over ceremony to officially welcome you to the Troop.
